How to Get There


By Air


The nearest airport is Nevsehir Kapadokya Airport (NAV), about 45 minutes by car.


Alternatively, Kayseri Erkilet Airport (ASR) is about 1 hour and 20 minutes away.


By Car

From Nevsehir: It's a 20-minute drive. Head southeast towards Ürgüp.


From Kayseri: Take the D260 highway towards Nevsehir, then follow signs to Ürgüp.


By Bus


Regular bus services operate between major cities like Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir to Nevsehir. From Nevsehir, local buses or taxis can take you to Ürgüp.


Story and Legend

The Three Beauties are a famous natural rock formation consisting of three fairy chimneys. These geological formations are a key attraction in Cappadocia, characterized by their unique shapes, which were formed by centuries of erosion.


Legend:

According to local legend, the Three Beauties represent a family: a king, a queen, and their child. The story goes that a king fell in love with a commoner, but their love was forbidden. They fled to Cappadocia and had a child. However, they were pursued by the king's soldiers. To protect their child, they prayed to be turned into stone, resulting in the creation of the Three Beauties. The larger two formations represent the parents, while the smaller one symbolizes their child.
